EmpowerU Taekwon-Do was founded with a straightforward mission: to provide high-quality, accessible, and affordable self-defense classes the community.
Kirsten and Frances began by offering self training to the public, including schools, small groups, and gym classes.
We then decided to expand our vision by establishing a martial arts school where individuals of all ages can come and train.
Our head assistant instructor, 5th Dan Julie Hasler, is joined by 3rd Dan Abbey Vallender as well.
With our distinctive approach to learning and exceptional instructors, EmpowerU Taekwon-Do stands out as one of the premier martial arts clubs in New Plymouth.

All classes are based on ITF Taekwon-Do, founded General Choi Hong Hi.
